Question Screen Share lags whilst gaming ?

Hello,

When I try to play games with my friend, we usually screen share our gameplay. However, recently, my screen share has been performing poorly. Whenever I attempt to share my screen while playing any game, the screen share becomes extremely laggy and stutters, making it look like a slideshow. This happens even though the game itself runs smoothly without any issues. The problem os the same whether its a heavy or light game, the screen share is consistently lagging.

I’m using VOIP platforms like Google Meet and Discord for screen sharing. Previously, everything worked fine, but I started noticing this issue only after I upgraded my PC. I’m wondering if my PC is now being bottlenecked or if there’s another underlying issue.

My previouse setup was:

CPU: RYZEN 5 5600X
MOBO: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING
GPU: GEFORCE RTX 3070 TI ASUS ROG STRIX
RAM: 2 x 8GB G.SKILL TRIDENT Z DDR4 3600MHZ
CPU COOLER: CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE CAPELLIX
PSU: MSI MPG 750W

My upgraded setup:

CPU: RYZEN 7 7800X3D
MOBO: ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-A
GPU: GEFORCE RTX 3070 TI ASUS ROG STRIX
RAM: 2 x 16 GB XPG LANCER BLADE DDR5 6000MHZ CL30
CPU COOLER: CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE CAPELLIX
PSU: SILVERSTONE 1000W GOLD

My biggest guess is that my 3070 TI is bottlenecking the R7 7800X3D.

Previously, everything worked fine, but I started noticing this issue only after I upgraded my PC.

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? Did you reinstall the OS after your platform migration? If not, that's the root cause of your issue. Recreate your bootable USB installer for OS, remove all drives except the one you wish to install the OS onto, then install the OS in offline mode. While in offline mode, install all relevant drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator, with the latest drivers versions. Once all drivers have been installed, connect to the www, update the OS.

I just checked my BIOS version, here take a look:

And regarding the OS, i don't recall doing a fresh installation of windows, i upgraded my pc like a year ago, so i cant really remember if i did a fresh windows installation.
