Question Screen tearing after ram upgrade

Today i reinstalled my windows 10, deleting all my files so can I upgrade ram ( I wanted my laptop to be clear). My laptop is an Asus X550LB from 2014. I had only 4GB of ram on it and it was a pain playing games so today I got another 4GB ram stick ( with similar specifications, ddr3L, cl11, pc3l-12800, 1600Mhz, everything !) and I installed it. After 5 mins ( being on desktop, or a game, it didn't matter, everything I did, I still ended up the same way), my screen stared tearing with colored bars in rows, like it was possessed , moving fast horizontaly, and my cursor freezed, and producing a hellish loud noise from the sound system. I don t think it s the GPU because everything was fine before installing the ram stick.

I've done now the windows memory diagnostic and it said that it was fine, i'm thinking to do a bios update
