Hey guys, I'm at my wits end. Since upgrading my graphics card 2 years ago I have been getting a single screen tear line about 3/4 of the way up the screen when playing games and watching YouTube. I have searched forums all over the place and have not been able to resolve the issue. The problem only occurred after I upgraded my graphics card.

My hardware set up is:
Gpu: Gigabyte GTX950
Monitor: Asus VH238
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

And my current Nvidia settings are:
Ambient Occlusion -- Off
Anisotropic filtering -- Application-controlled
Antialiasing - FXAA -- On
Antialiasing - Gamma correction -- On
Antialiasing - Mode -- Application-controlled
Antialiasing - Setting -- Application-controlled
Antialiasing - Transparency -- 8x (supersample)
CUDA - GPUs -- All
DSR - Factors -- Off
DSR - Smoothness -- Off
Maximum pre-rendered frames -- Use the 3D application setting
Multi-Frame Sampled AA (MFAA) -- On
OpenGL rendering GPU -- Auto-select
Power management mode -- Optimal power
Shader Cache -- On
Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization -- Off
Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias -- Clamp
Texture filtering - Quality -- Quality
Texture filtering - Trilinear optimization -- Off
Threaded optimization -- Auto
Triple buffering -- On
Vertical sync -- On
Virtual Reality pre-rendered frames -- 1

Any support you could provide me would be greatly appreciated. It's driving me mad.

I also have pretty basic knowledge but it's a shame you didnt take it back to the retailer under warranty as it could be a hardware fault, sometimes graphics cards have these problems.

I recommend downloading MSI Afterburner and possible downclocking you graphics cards Core Clock by 50 to 150 mHz and seeing if that changes anything. While it makes performance a little worse it might fix the problem...

You could also increase the Power Limit and Temperature limit to see if that yields any change..
