Hi, I was wondering if you could help me solve this problem.

I was playing around with the refresh rates (Hz) on my LCD screen, I used the computer for a good hour before switching my computer off. This is when the problems started, I went to switch it back on and nothing happened, I waited a while and the screen was still blank. There were a few blue pixels right at the top of the screen but I couldn't see my cursor or do see anything. I know it isn't the screen thats internally damaged as it displays the "No signal, Please check your connection" when I disconnect the wire and the "Acer" Logo when I switch on the screen. If you need to know anything please let me know. I don't know if this is the right section but I put it here as the screen is a display.

Thanks for any help.

well for one thing.. you cannot change the refresh rate (hz) of lcd screens. typical monitors are 60hz, a few new ones are 120hz.

are you getting anything appearing on the screen at all?
is your computer booting but just not outputting a signal?

it almost sounds like your pc is trying to send out a ?hz signal and the monitor is not displaying it because it is not its refresh rate. what you will want to do is make this refresh rate go back to the standard 60hz.

a few things you might want to try first are simple. try changing your display input on the monitor. try turning it off then on. if nothing then..

boot your pc into safe mode. do you get anything on screen? if so change your display settings and reboot..if not...

swap to the other connection on your video card. doing this should load up a default display scenario allowing you to get a picture even if you screwed up your display settings royally. i did this with windows xp when playing around with 2 different sized monitors.

let us know what you get with each one of these ideas and we can help you out further perhaps.
