Question Screw for securing M.2 card in HP laptop.

Having not even fully managed to get my head around the differences betwixt M.2 SATA and NVMe, I thought I'd give myself a break and carry out the dead simple task of buying a card securing screw in anticipation.

But no.

About to press 'buy', I notice it says suitable only for ASUS and AsRock . I need to go elsewhere should I require 'Gigabyte'.

AAAaaaAAAaargh (breaks down sobbing.)

I just want a screw, that's all (Matron!).

For an HP Elitebook 850 G3 laptop. Aren't they all just 'tiny' 'little' M2-threaded screws? (The post is already there).

if the M.2 slot is there but missing the screw, contact HP support about getting a replacement.
there's a good chance they may send you an accessories package with one
or offer one for a cheap price.

some M.2s also come with their own screw included in the packaging.

Woke up with the thought - 'I wonder if there's a spare screw elsewhere on the board?' And there was... :-(
