After Installing my Hyper 212 EVO, I noticed that I made a mistake on the orientation. In order to fix this, I had to uninstall the cooler, remove it from the cpu, and put it back on in the right way. I did not clean the thermal paste from the cpu before re-orienting it, and i'm worried that air bubbles will form. Should I have cleaned up the thermal paste before installing it again?

(The thermal paste was wet when I re-installed it).

Thanks :)

Did you respread the paste by chance? If so you may be ok but as a rule I never reuse old paste. Its just a no no. If it was me I would pull the cooler off and clean it and apply new paste.
What are the temperatures that you're getting?

but generally, I wouldn't skip a step like that. clean up the old paste and apply new stuff. This is a general rule for DIY projects overall, be patient, don't skip steps or take short-cuts, and take breaks if you ever feel frustrated.
