Hi all,

I probably should have asked this before buying stuff ... but anyway, too late :)

I am struggling to get a tape drive connected to my workstation, the tape drive model is the following Q1539B - HP StorageWork. After some struggling to find a SCSI card which would fit my
workstation I've bought the following card, Adaptec SCSI Card 29320LPE.

Well all this to discover that the cable I bought (SCSI U320SCSI Cable 68pin Micro Centronics) fits one end, but not the others, it looks like the two external connectors are different:
  • 68-PIN LVDS (Tape drive)
  • 68-PIN VHDCI (Workstation's SCSI Card)
I wasn't aware of all this complications unfortunately - is there any easy quick-win for it ? Or do I need to buy a card which comes with a different external connector ? I would be even ready to buy a new tape drive (second-hand) in order to get something which works reliably, I say this because it's been a struggle to find an SCSI card for my workstation as it needs to be low bracket.

Thanks all.
