Hi,
I always see these entires(categories) shown in the device mangager on different Windows systems
•SCSI and RAID Host Controller
•IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller
•SATA AHCI Controller
•AHCI Controller
Since I have had a look at my motherboard, I didn't see any parts called 'SCSI', RAID', nor even AHCI. All what I have seen a physically a hardware part is 'IDEs' and SATA sometimes in the modern computers.
Thus, I was wondering if 'SCSI and RAID Host Controller, and AHCI had been not concrete (physical) hardware parts, howeverr, they are abstract hardware parts(hardware software) . I am right or not?
So, what benefit are there from such things? I.e. How to install my HDD physically into 'SCSI Or RAID Or ACHI'. My HDD is always installed on 'IDE'
Could anyone at this splendid forum please be a little bit patient and detailed with me about these things?
