Lately my Samsung SCX-4100 printer has been running low on toner. Being that I hardly use it,spending nearly $100 for official Samsung toner seemed a bit expensive. Thus I instead bought a "Samsung compatible toner cartridge" made by a company called LD Products off of Amazon. It fits into the machine, but during the warm up an error pops up which says "jam 1 or no cartridge". However the machine works fine otherwise and it is still possible to print with the old toner cartridge. Apparently some manufacturers have chips in their toner cartridges to prevent people from using imitations, but nothing like that seems to be visible. Is there any hope or should I ask for a refund?
