SD card reader on usb header issue

I have an SD card reader plugged into the top row of pins of a standard motherboard usb header and when I put an SD card into the reader Windows tells me put insert a drive into my [letter]:/drive.
I'm plugging into page 1-1 item 10 as suggested in a thread I made last week.

EDIT: It's working now. My only guess is that I did it before I activated windows so that might have meant something but honestly I don't know.
If somebody still reads this it would be nice If I knew how to delete threads for this reason.

No I don't see the need of deleting the thread, because someone else may experience the same and stumble upon your thread - instead of tossing their sc card reader in the bin.
