SDRAM PC133??

My friends comp is running with PC100 and I have some old PC133 sitting around. Can PC133 be combinded with PC100. Will the PC133 clock it self down? Could I just pull out the current PC100 and replace with PC133?

If there are 2 different speed RAM, then the system will run both at the speed of the slower RAM. More RAM at the same speed will run faster than the single stick. List your buddies system stats.

If he has a mobo and cpu that run on the 100mhz bus, then adding PC133 is fine, since it will not run above 100mhz anyway, without overclocking if supported on his board. And his PC100 will probally overclock somewhat anyway if desired.

Agreed they will both run at the slower speed - 100Mhz. Is that not what I said?
