Question Seagate 2 tb HDD extremely loud

I recently replaced my hdd with a 2 tb hdd(https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Barr...hild=1&keywords=2tb+hdd&qid=1605670409&sr=8-3). It is very loud. Most of the time I don't ntoice but sometimes for minutes on end it'll be extremely loud and buzz. My old hdd was never this loud. I do not mind too much but I wanted to know if my hdd will fail. I installed this drive in early December.

Contact the manufacturer. Most will do an automatic RMA if the drive is really noisy right out of the box, which seems to be your case. In some cases, a firmware update for the drive (modifying its power saving modes) can also solve the noise problem.
