Seagate 2TB Expansion Drive

Hi, I've just set up a new Seagate external drive, but it's behaving a little differently to the other one I own.

On the other one if I wanted to group a bunch of files into one folder, I could just create that folder and drag and drop them in. However on the new one if I try and do this it seems to want to make a copy of the files, rather than just moving them to a new location.

Is this something to do with the way it's formatted?

Sorry I should've specified that I'm using OSX El Capitan. Thanks for the answer anyway!

Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with the new version of Mac OS X El Capitan, yet. It's probably best that you contact Apple's customer support and ask for further info on the subject, as I really don't think this has anything to do with the HDD's file system or model and it's OS related.
