I have had my external hard drive that I got off of amazon for about 6 months and it had been working fine until about two days ago when I logged onto my ps4 to see that its not coming up at all and it wasn't coming up on my brother's or my own PC. When I log onto disk management it asks to initialise the hard drive which I try to do so and I get the message 'The request failed due to fatal device hardware error'. I also tried to go onto diskpart and it says my disk is online but has no size or free space. It also doesn't come up under Devices and Drives on File Explorer. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello pjack. Was this HDD connected to a computer before or was it always connected to a PS4? Have you tried this procedure in the past? If you still have problems, contact support here. Sorry for this inconvenience.
