Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB (portable) issues

My Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB is no longer working.

It was working a few days ago, but now it does not show up in Windows 10, although the USB connect and disconnect sound still plays.

Initially the light on the drive was on, but now, after restarting the PC with the drive connected, the light is not on.

Windows troubleshooter cannot see the device, but device manager can. Disk management does not appear to be able to find it, although I an unfamiliar with that tool.

Any ideas would be gratefully accepted, the drive has some important files on it I don't currently have any other access to.

Notes

- I don't have another cable or PC to test at the moment but I will have the PC tomorrow
- As far as I can tell,the only possibly issues in terms of user interference with the drive between the last time it was working and now are: a Kaspersky scan being interrupted, and the cable being yanked out of the drive

I have not been able to determine whether it was or not, but I have confirmed it is 100% dead, and have sent it back under warranty.
