seagate backup plus slim not functioning

i brought a seagate product.. then yesterday it doesnt work.. it wont show in the computer .. but I can see it as a BACKUP + in the printers and devices ... and in the device manager I can see the seagate portable but theres no volume.. it does make a sound when i plug it which means it does spin.. does anyone has idea on this?

Try another cable, try re-seating it in the case, try the drive in another enclosure.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble getting the drive to work. What does Disk Management show? It may be that the drive needs to be formatted. WARNING: doing this will erase data on the drive, so make sure if there's important content already on it, that you've backed it up somewhere safely first.

You can also try downloading our free tool Seagate Dashboard and seeing if it recognizes at all.
