Seagate Backup Plus

I connected my seagate backup plus 1 tb hdd to my pc.i can hear spinning.its is detected.....but not showing in my computer..........the light on hdd is not turning on......please tell me what to do

Try connecting the hdd to a different computer. If same result then check whether its listed in disk management. Also navigate to device manager and scan for hardware changes and check if the hdd is recognized.

it works the same on every computer........it is detected and listed in disk management..........what do u mean by hardware changes?
