Seagate Barracuda ATA IV 80 GB @ DMA, plese help

I jusy sold my old Biostar(kt133,ata66) to a friend, but he's having problems with his new Seagate Barracuda ATA IV 80 GB. Windows XP (device manager) only reconzes it @ DMA,no DMA4 like it used to be when i had that board with my 2 (80 & 40 GB)IBM Deskstars drives and a Fujitsu(20 GB). His very old Hard Disk(ata 33) is also recognized as DMA only. Tried to uninstall the IDE's channels, changed cables ect but still the same.BIOS (lates one) hasnt been touched since i had it.Latest VIA 4 in 1 installed as well.Reinstalled WinXP couple of times.

Any suggestions?

Are the slower drives on the same cables as the faster ones?

they were, but made lots of different configurations, like having the fast MAIN drive alone on the first IDE channel ect, it want change.
