Seagate HDD not working

i have 2TB seagate Barracuda, from past 15 days it was too slow to read n write , now pc is not even detecting the drive . i'm using from 3 years and never did format , continuously i'm using it almost everyday , device manager showing the drive but wen i try to populate it say's "volume information for this disk cannot be found" . i had very important work in it . i'm sooo fucked up now ,plzzzz someone help me.

if the drive is now in another pc to get the data off use hdtune check drive smart warnings. if there a lot of errors..you can try data recovery

i would see if it under rma replacment if it not pick up one of the newer server drives not home retail drives if your using your pc for work. the drive you have now is a server base drive that why it lasted so long.

I have same problem with me also before one your back, i just suggest you to please change your port with your manufacturer.
It definitely resolve your issue.

I'd recommend you try swapping the SATA cable connecting the HDD and attempt to plug it to a different SATA port on your motherboard. If you have access to another computer, I'd also try connecting the drive there just to see how it will get detected.
It's also highly recommended to download the HDD manufacturer's brand-specific diagnostic tool in order to check up on the health and S.M.A.R.T. status of the drive. Using any third-party data retrieving utilities would be at your own risk, so if the files are that important, I'd strongly recommend you to consider contacting a professional data recovery company for assistance.

Assigning a drive letter can be executed either from Disk Management or DiskPart in Command Prompt.
You should keep in mind that this procedure will reformat your internal HDD and you might be able to access the HDD again, HOWEVER, all all your data will be lost! So be careful.
I'd definitely test the health of the drive first, as the SMART attributes will help you determine if there is any amount of corruption.

i did all the steps but the thing is none of them working . in every pc on device manager shows the disk . but when i try to populate the disk it says "volume information for this disk cannot be found" .

This seems pretty unfortunate, @Deving Vini! 🙁 Can you please check how if it will get detected in Disk Management? If it's only visible in Device Manager and no other utility can detect it even after the cable swap, you might be dealing with a failed hard drive. As I already mentioned your best chance to recover your files would a professional data recovery company. Unfortunately, you won't be able to even try retrieving them by yourself, since no software detects the HDD.

I'd advise you to get in touch with the HDD manufacturer's customer support for assistance first. If the HDD is still within the warranty period, you should be able to RMA it and get a replacement from them.

when you get your pc running again. if you have the funds pick up another drive the same size. use it for backing up the first drive. also look at backup software that can use cloud storage, your alway better off using cloud storage now then another drive. it harder to lose online backups.
