I've been using a 4TB Ironwolf for work storage for a few months, the model name is ST4000VNZ08
I recently bought another one off of Amazon (still named Ironwolf 4tb), without checking the model code, believing it would be the same product. but It turns out its a ST4000VNZ06 instead.
Now, this "new" one is considerably lighter and less bulky than the ST4000VNZ08 one I already had. Even tho they are both sold as 3.5" drives.
Its definitely "thinner", and the black "metal backplate" under the circuit board is less pronunced.
The outisde packaging was exactly the same, with the same fliers\instuctions inside. Both sold\shipped by Amazon.
Are there any differences between the two drives ? Specifically from a reliability standpoint ?
Thanks
