Now we just need pricing and availability! I've been in dire need of a new NAS for a year and decided to hold off on the 8tb archive drives until their mainstream counterparts arrived.

I'm still waiting for prices of four and five TB drives to come down some more... I've seen some decent sales, but I got a 3TB 2 years ago for about what they're selling for now. Greater storage is great and all, but isn't the new stuff supposed to make the old stuff cheaper?

With 16Tb SSDs already available from Samsung, I hope these drives die a quick and spinful death. Now only if the prices could come down faster for SSD Gb/$

Once other manufacturers catch up to Samsung and Toshiba I think we'll see SSD prices drop across the board.
