I bought a Seasonic FOCUS GX-750 power supply, which arrived today. I bought it to install it in my Dell Precision T3620.

As the PSU is fully modular, I assumed that it would come with both 24-pin and 8-pin motherboard connectors and thus not need the typical 24-pin to 8-pin adapters that most PSUs need to be installed in a Dell Precision. However, that seems not to be the case. There are some 8-pin connections on the PSU, but it appears that they may not be compatible with the motherboard, since they are not labeled as such.

Will I indeed need an adapter? And if so, is this a good one?

If it's not a good/reliable one, can you recommend any that are?

Yes the board has proprietary connectors.

You should get this;

and call it a day.

If your hardware is expendable and your workmanship with soldering is good, go for it...if the motherboard get's ruined you can blame yourself for it. Personally, I wouldn't tinker with that motherboard electrically.
Lol, I would not too hahha. I only asked this out of curiosity because I saw it reminded me of the ATX 24 pin but without the slot. But you really need lots of skill in soldering and pretty much need to be precise. And I agree with you!
