[SOLVED] Seasonic vs Corsair PSU

Hi,

I was wondering which one of these PSU is better for the money. Also I have previously brought the exact Seasonic PSU in the past but it won't turn on; no fans even when following the PSU testing tutorial.

Currently in the process of refunding the Seasonic PSU. Not sure whether I should re-order for an replacement or buy Corsair instead for even a lower price.

Both are about same level, maybe TXm is even bit better, so if it is cheaper then no brainer for me.

I see. But I just realised that Corsair TXm is refurbished. Will it be alright in buying second-hand PSU?

That is pure speculation.

Depends entirely on the reputation of the refurbisher and exactly what they did.

Do you have any way of knowing that?

I certainly would not trust "refurbishing" without much more info...which you may not be able to get. Maybe refurbishing means using a dust cloth on the exterior?

Only if it was refurbished directly by Corsair. However the link you provided specifies only 12 month warranty, which to me says it is not refurbished by Corsair. So hard pass in this case.

The refurbishing I was told is done by Corsair, Scan I believe are Corsair’s UK agent for reselling refurbished items. Scan get lot’s of Corsair refurbs, PSU’s, headsets, mice, AIO’s, SSD’s. The AIO’s also only have 1 year warranty.
