Second graphics card for multiseat gaming

Hello. I have an origin PC with a ranger maximus vii motherboard, intel core i7 4790k cpu, and gtx 980ti graphics card. Three dell 1440p monitors are currently connected. I am interested in using Aster Multiseat software to add a second workstation of sorts for my child. She plans to do some video editing and maybe some gaming. I would add a 4th monitor.

Firstly, would I NEED another video card for this? Not all of the video outputs are in use.

Secondly, I might be interested in purchasing a new gtx 1080 to add to the system. This card would run my three monitors, and my 980ti would run the workstation. However, If I do this, I will never have the option to connect the cards via SLI. Should I just add a second gtx 980ti to leave that option open? Right now, I play iRacing (sli not supported), and Batman Arkham knight (sli not supported). I am awaiting my oculus rift next month (I don't think sli is supported with the rift).

Would sli be helpful with video editing?

Any tips would be appreciated.

1) Don't use aster, it's legality is questionable at best
2) aster doesn't support crossfire/SLI, so I doubt it would support multiple independent cards
3) Sounds like you have a ton of money to burn, just make a second computer!

1a) VM is the same issue, you technically need to be paying for the additional seats, and in fact non-server versions don't allow multiple simultaneous users as per the EULA.
1b) If you buy an additional license you can definitely try a VM, though gaming will suffer (not as much as before Win 10 1511 though)

3a) Space isn't really an issue, if you have room for another monitor you have room for a small form factor PC, you can make some very small but powerful systems today
3b) If you want to do game capture on top of editing, it's actually beneficial to have a second rig.
