Hello, a while ago I decided I need more storage and wanted a second M.2 SSD, but my motherboard has only one slot, is still pretty new for a motherboard tough, so I decided to go a route of PCI adapter.

Motherboard: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-TOMAHAWK
Adapter: https://www.akasa.com.tw/search.php?seed=AK-PCCM2P-03

All worked fine, until later down the line, I upgraded my processor to Ryzen 5 5600x, at which point I needed to update my BIOS. Ever since then, the second SSD is not recognized when I boot up my PC after it being off for a while (seems to be at least a few hours). Funny thing is, as soon as I restart it, it actually recognises the second SSD without issue. I have since then updated the BIOS again, but the issue persisted.

So it is not a horrible issue, more of an annoyance, but it is such a specific combination of components, that I found searching for an online solution impossible. If anyone got some ideas, it would be appreciated.

Are you 100% sure everythingnis seated properly, and that components are all compatible with motherboard?
Yes, I have cleaned my PC multiple times since, besides these components are held tight with screws so I do not believe it could be an issue of components not seated properly. As for the compatibility, like I mentioned, it worked fine until the BIOS update. The CPU is listed as compatible with my Motherboard. The only possible hickup, is that the current BIOS version from MSI, that I need to use my Processor is listed as (Beta). If that is indeed the problem, I guess I can only wait and hope for next update.

Thanks for the suggestions, got the latest drivers for motherboard from MSI, tried turning off ''Fast startup'' and hibernate, but the issue persists. Thank you for trying, I guess I resign to the fact it s got something to do with current BIOS being in Beta, since the issue started since I updated to that version
