Second monitor input

I have a question, so I bought a second screen and that will be my main screen (for gaming). And I have a DisplayPort and ren HDMI output in my graphics card, my old, second screen goes via HDMI and my new via DisplayPort. Do I have to do my old, second screen via my motherboard or can I put both on my graphics card? But if I put both on my graphics card, will not I get less good performance on my new one, because my graphics card must also render my 2nd screen?

Put both on the GPU, if your only using that second screen for web/Netflix/Youtube/etc it won't hurt your gaming performance on the main screen.
