Why is my PC detecting both monitors but there is no display in my second monitor?

I tested both cables and ports on my gpu and monitors are working. I am using an RX 580 (1 x HDMI, 3 x DP). My main monitor is using HDMI to HDMI and my second monitor (the one not displaying) is using DP to VGA. I have spent all day trying to figure out what's wrong and reading on different forums. I've tried reinstalling the display driver many times, even tried different versions of Adrenalin. I just don't know what to do anymore.

Are both monitors listed under Device Manager?
Do both monitors work if the other one is unplugged? e.g. HDMI monitor work on it's own, then unplugging that one and connect the one with VGA and does that work?

Your second monitor not displaying, despite testing cables and ports, likely stems from the DP to VGA adapter. Ensure it's an active adapter, as passive ones often cause issues. Try a different adapter if possible. Clean install your display drivers using DDU. Double-check Windows display settings, especially resolution/refresh rate. If those don't work, check BIOS settings for the primary display adapter. As a last resort, test the DP port on your GPU with another DP device.
