Second monitor not working

I have used one monitor plugged directly into my graphics card for a while now, however, I recently got a second monitor and when I plug it into the motherboard (due to lack of space in my graphics card) the computer will not detect it. Even though it is plugged in correctly and on the right input it says there is no signal. Why won't my monitors work when plugged into the motherboard?

Solution
By default the igpu is typically disabled when a graphics card is put in. You can simply turn it on in bios. Keep in mind you do need a cpu that has an igpu. Many intel mobos will call it igpu multi monitor and other mobos will have igpx enable or something along those lines. Don't forget to install the drivers or it won't work.
