Hello, my 1st thread in here.
I have an Asus B660M Gaming Plus Wifi D4, a Samsung EVO 970 installed in the M.2_1 slot (with Windows on it) and it's working fine, my second SSD is a Kingston SNV2S/500GB installed in the M.2_2 slot on the motherboard (I used it mainly for storing games).

The second SSD is now not detected in BIOS. I have tried to restore default in BIOS setting and while it did recognize the SSD but only a few hours later the SSD is not detected again.

Does anyone have a clue and how to fix it? Thank you very much.

Reseat the ssd in the slot a couple of times.....test.

If no help swap slots.....test.

I've tried that, didn't work. When the SSD is suddenly not detected anymore it shown this in Event Viewer.

Event ID: 129

Description:
Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued.

Event ID: 157

Description:
Disk 1 has been surprise removed.

In simple BIOS mode - there's a toggle switch to enable/disable Intel Rapid Storage Technology. Set to disabled.
In Advanced mode - Advanced/System Agent Configuration/VMD setup menu/Disable VMD controller.
After doing this I ran into Inaccessible Boot Device so what do I do? Have to re-enable the IRST to be able to boot into Windows
