I have recently got an SSD (ADATA SP900 128GB), installed windows in it and transferred all my games from my Hard Drive (TOSHIBA DT01ACA100), making it a storage drive.

But the problem is, that when I launch a game, i can hear my HDD turn on (because in power management i have it to turn off after 20 min of no use) and it heats up to about 41°C even though it should not even do anything (Before the SSD it would ussaly heat up to 34~ish°C).

I defragment my HDD regularly, and checking hard for errors found nothing.

Thank you in advance.

Solution
Well, I guess you can use some third party software tool that can show you what is accessing your drive. In case you have no data stored on the drive, you can reformat it.
