Question Secondary hard drive freezing explorer and other apps when trying to access it.

I've have a 2TB hard drive that has suddenly stopped working, When plugged into the computer, it will cause the entire system to infinitely load. And when connecting the drive after the PC has already booted up, the drive will just stay at 100% usage and any apps/file explorer that tries to access it will freeze or not work.
I've tried running CHKDSK, which just fails to do anything and loads infinitely. only way i got the screenshot below is starting CrystalDiskInfo and unplugging the sata cord from the drive, Which allows the app to load.

Is it over?
