Secondary Hard Drive unrecognized by Windows after PC goes to sleep

Good afternoon! I recently built a budget gaming rig for my wife as follows:
Ryzen 5 2400g
Gigabyte GA-AB350 Gaming
16GB Corsair Vengeance 3000mhz DDR4
550W Cooler Master MasterWatt 550 power supply
250gb Sandisk SSD Plus
1TB WD Blue HDD

Everything has been running great but we have started noticing that once her PC goes to sleep, it stops recognizing the WD HDD. She will wake the PC and it's not recognized. After rebooting the PC the drive shows back up and performs flawlessly until going back to sleep. The PC then will stop recognizing the drive and has to be rebooted again. Anyone out there ever ran into this problem?

Not the same one but when my hdd is kept idle it stops spining and i had to open up the partition i made on it to run it back again but ur scenario seems a bit typical and worser than might consider troubleshooting or check ur hardrive for any bad sectors !
