Secure erasing an entire SSD array via Asus BIOS

I just upgraded to a 4670k and Asus Maximus VI Hero. One of the advertized features is the ability to secure erase SSDs, which is what i want to do right now.

my question is, can I secure erase a RAID 0 array or do i have to brake the raid, secure erase each disk then build a new one?

A secure erase will break the array, and it appears to be run at the physical device level, which I would expect.

Do be sure that your SSDs are on the list of compatible devices for the secure erase function so you don't end up with bricks.
