Need security help. I have fiber optic to my facility. I have 12 NAS units (Synology and QNAP) used by 12 different traveling people. How do I make sure these NAS units can never interact with each other (spy, bug, etc.). Can I eliminate the LAN, and would that help? Can each unit get its own internet connect? Hardware needed to accomplish absolute separation? Additionally: There is no IT admin person... each person has their own NAS and nobody else can access it, set it up, or in anyway have passwords or central involvement. The desire is total separation with no possibility to interact over the LAN even if one NAS user might be committed to break security (currently all hooked to LAN).
