Security Threat - Who? - Me! One my own machine testing my own Web, on my own private Network!
Their outa the own minds. Have been getting this (from not only Firefox but other browsers also) for a few weeks on win 10/11 boxes after latest dates...
The browser's don't like my self signed certificate - and I cant seam to find the setting to stop it ! Surely there's somewhere I can tell em to ignore it! And, it's gone totally TooFar!. note the URL I'm going to "http://rplwx111" - that's my own Machine, it's default (IIS) web page, on my own private Network, testing browser acceptance for WebDev work! Other browsers(Edge for sure) are doing it to .....
All because of a Self-Signed Certificate - and now, By Defaul!" "They" are declaring "ME" InValid and Not Trusted on MyOwn IntraNet (note: not InterNet) - That's annoying, overly time consuming and adds additional cost! And it's incrementally Costly as development goes up thru dev, ascceptance/system, to production levels...
The settings to stop these msgs/imteruptions/stoppages are changing, getting harder to find, and getting wiped out per auto updates...
I still haven't found this new one yet... Yes, i can accept the risk, but preferably i'd rather avoid it completely...
All considered tho, I'd rather just get a Trusted Certificate! - as I also have some pro DynaDsn's (from a wellknown/respected Dyn Dsn provider) for accessing my own Systems and community development projects. But provider just says they don't/cant/wont help with anything like HTTPS/Certs and the like... The primary purpose for my DynaDsn's is so I can access myPersonal boxes from anywhere in the world easily - and it's work very well till recently....
So... Anybody know how i can get a Trusted Certificate Easily(andCostEfficently)? For Any&All my personal machines/systems.
This is really getting annoying and counter productive....
The current communication costs (phone/Internet/cable,cell,s) are already WayAbove any other utility costs.
Static IP's, perm registered Domains aren't very flexible per changing, and excessively costly...
So, what are some alternatives Solutions to getting a Trusted Cert for my boxes?
Is anything like a Personal Trusted Certificate for Personal machines? ( That's accepted all acros/.thru interNet and Web/Webservices and such......
