Hello Tom's Hardware Community!

I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out today with a request for assistance regarding my MSI X570S Edge Max WiFi motherboard. Unfortunately, I unexpectedly bricked my board while attempting to update the BIOS, and now I'm in need of the EEPROM BIN file to recover it.

I'm kindly asking if anyone within this fantastic community has the EEPROM BIN file for the BIOS of the MSI X570S Edge Max WiFi motherboard. If you possess this file or know where I can obtain it, I would greatly appreciate your help.

In case you don't have the BIN file, but you do own the same motherboard, I would be immensely grateful if you could visit a local workshop and kindly request them to extract the BIN file from your own motherboard. Your assistance in this matter would mean a lot to me, and I can't thank you enough in advance.

I understand that accidents happen, and it's unfortunate that I find myself in this situation. Your support and expertise are vital to resolving this issue and getting my motherboard back up and running.

Once again, thank you all for being a part of this incredible community, and I sincerely appreciate any assistance or guidance you can provide. Please feel free to share any relevant information or suggestions to help me resolve this problem.

Best regards,
Muntadher Majid

you can download it from msi support page, its in bios download section, unzip it and rename that 16MB file into .bin file and thats it

btw your mobo has bios flashback feature, which can reflash your bricked bios just fine

Hello Kerberos_20,

Thank you for your prompt response and valuable suggestions. I appreciate your advice regarding downloading the BIOS file from the MSI support page and renaming the 16MB file into a .bin file. I will definitely give it a try.

Regarding your note about the BIOS flashback feature, I have attempted to use it, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working as expected. Whenever I press the power button, the motherboard LEDs light up, and the entire PC comes to life for a brief moment of about 0.5 seconds before shutting off again. This behavior repeats every time I attempt to power on the system.

I understand that my motherboard has the BIOS flashback feature, which should ideally resolve the issue. However, I'm uncertain why it is not functioning properly in my case. If you have any additional suggestions or troubleshooting tips related to the BIOS flashback feature, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Thank you once again for your assistance. I will proceed with downloading the BIOS file from the MSI support page and renaming it as you suggested. If you have any further insights or recommendations, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,
Muntadher Majid
