So currently I have a
MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk WiFi Motherboard, Crucial Ballistix 64GB 3600mhz CL16 ddr4 ram
with i7-12700k
And a MSI 3070ti Gaming X Trio 8GB GPU
But Im stuck on deciding if I outta get a better GPU and which one? Cause right now its the vram thats holding back on some games being able to be ran at maxed cranked ultra settings.
Or if I should upgrade my motherboard to a ddr5 capable one.
Im looking at a bundle at Microcenter that comes with a i9-14900k
MSI MAG Z790 WiFi Tomahawk and 32GB 6000MHZ CL36 DDR5 ram
But than Im not sure if my Noctua NH15 would be able to cool the 14900k efficiently enough or not.
But if I upgrade GPU I'm gonna need to get a bigger case and the one I'm looking at currently is the Phanteks Enthoos Pro 2 enclosed panel. Unless there is a better larger case out there that I can put 4 3.5hdds in and a 2.5 ssd in and have alot of breathing room for whatever GPU
Im just stuck on if and/or what I should upgrade. Its basically almost a full rebuild no matter which path. And both are looking to be about the same price range all said and done.
Sorry for wall of text

forget 14th its a waste of money..

12700k with a better GPU is going to be a better upgrade path ..

GPU is where you will see gains not the CPU ..

I would recommend if you like intel upgrade the GPU stay on the 12700k ddr4 wait till 15th then look at socket life and what intel bring with 15th !!

depending on your current PSU which may need to be changed .

Id go a 7900xt /7800xt for the bigger vram options over Nvidia personally .. but a 4070 12 still good and better if RT is your thing !!

As for a case the coolermaster qube 500 looks great the lian li o11 air mini another great case mesh all round just check that your components /upgrade components fit !!

by the looks of your current case id be changing to a better air flow case anyway !!
