I have an hold HP 431405-001 HD (Seagate 9S1132-020) sata hard drive for a laptop. I can't seem to identify the type of SATA connector it uses. Can someone identify the connector type?

Take a close look at the connectors in the photo here

It shows that drive with the normal two SATA connectors (smaller one near center for power, larger one at left end for data) plus a 4-pin Molex male connector at the right hand end. That design was common in the early days of SATA drives - if you do not have any SATA power connectors from your PSU, you can use the Molex instead, but never both.

Your photo appear to have adapters already mounted over the two normal SATA connectors. Plus, it appears to have some cover over the Molex connector. There were many laptop machines that did this. They were already using a particular non-standard connector for their HDD units, and simply plugged an adapter into the normal connector on the drive to convert it to their system. The adapter and cover should be removable by just pulling off. Your SATA adapter MAY have a locking lever on it - I'm talking about the little slide knob in the middle between the power and data pins. You may have to slide that to get it to pull off.
