I am expecting a nice little refund check from Uncle Sam, so I have decided to do a little spending for a new server to replace the one I gave away for Christmas.
Requirements:
-Dual CPU
-one 64-bit PCI slot (66 MHz)
-one AGP slot (preferably AGP-4X, will settle for AGP-2x)
-non VIA chipset
-maximum pricepoint: $300 USD for the board
I've looked at a couple of Dual BX boards, and I wouldn't mind having one, but I can't find one with a 64-bit PCI slot @ 66 Mhz. (I have an extra Adaptec 39160 Ultra 160 64-bit PCI SCSI card and some Ultra-160 disks to put in it).
The board will be for a a box with Windows NT Server 4.0 / Windows 2000 Server (dual boot) running SQL Server 7 and SQL Server 2000, IIS 4/5 and a myriad of other services in a testing environment, so Windows 2000 compatibility is also needed, preferably a board on the HCL.
Any recommendations or advice is appreciated!
Thanks!
