I don't even know why they still use the term "gone gold" I can't remember the last time a major game got released that didn't require a patch with in the first week of its release (most are day 1 patches). They should change it go gone bronze or something to denote they just finished up a enough where it should install but may not play with the 1 day patch.

wow deadspace with different aliens, great.....
you mean deadspace is like Alien with different aliens (you realise Alien has been around a lot longer right?
I never liked deadspace, i didnt see much in it, was quite dull. (maybe the sequels were better, dunno never bothered to play them).
By the sounds of it this game brings a little more to the table, sounds interesting enough for me to give it a go. So long as its not full of custcenes as seems to be the norm for this genre lately. I want to play the game not watch a movie.....

Yeah but that style of game, game play they are describing along with the suspense in space... its been done and pretty well
in deadspace 2. DS2 was far better than the original, I did not like the original either.

If it can be resident evil spooky i might bite but after the last few aliens games IDK it feels like a pass to me.

Sega has it`s hand in this. I can only say after the mess a few months ago with ACM. I can only hope that this aliens spin off for most formats is, or has been done a lot better and is more polished. The AI and the graphics were terrible in ACM if anyone remembers. And Sega had a lot of flack for it mainly due to changing the design aspect from software house to software house. In the end different core aspects of that game like the AI, and graphics were changed a few times and more than one software house was used to create the overall game like I said the AI was done by one and the Graphics and engine by another software hose. It was a right fire storm. So I only hope Sega learned it`s lesson this time and finally got it right. Just something to think about before rushing out to buy it with sweaty hands. ACM was hyped to hell at the time. So I will sit on the fence before buying this if you excuse me.

I think the first one was the best in the series. Nothing beats being in the creepy environment of the Ishimura.

As bad as Colonial Marines was, it was still a decent entry into the franchise as it relates solely to gaming. Don't even get me started on how Fox signed off on the game's storyline being given the nod as official canon. That aside, I'm hoping that this game really shines and is a much richer, satisfying, and scarier addition to the list. Fans can only hope that CA's version leads to an even better sequel that makes us all forget about how truly bad CM was.

I still can't believe I went so far as to pre-order CM. *facepalm*

In deadspace you can fight back the aliens, you got weapons and such... In this Alien game things are more like you are a punny human with really nothing to save your butt but clever thinking, timely stealth, and a lot of lucky.

In Deadspace, I felt like "Holly SH**, this thing is scary, can I kill it?" ... In this Alien game things are more like "Holly Jetskying JC, where to run? I just pissed myself in the forehead!"
