I run a Dell Precision Workstation T5500.
Today I was backing up one external hard drive to another through the desktop (ie moving the files to the desktop then to the new hard drive)
When I dragged the files from the desktop to the 2nd hard drive the computer crashed. I didn't read the full crash report but it was along the lines of "your computer has been shut down to avoid damage"
I rebooted and have now discovered that my system wont boot.
If I go to the boot device menu it still has "SATA1-" as an option but is missing the numbers that used to come after "SATA1-"
If I select SATA is gives the message "Alert! Failed to detect one or more drives during POST. Strike F1 to continue"
If I press F1 it then gives the message "Selected boot device not available - strike F1 to retry boot"
If I run onboard diagnostics I get
"Error Code 0141.
MSG: Error Code 2000-0141
MSG: Hard Drive - No drive detected"
Has the SSD died or could it be another issue?
Thank you for your help
