[SOLVED] Selecting ram for an old pc

Hello.
I'm restoring an old pc and I haven't quite settled on how much ram to buy.
The cpu is an amd fx 6100 and the gpu is a radeon R7 360. It's not going to be my main pc, I'm going to use it to try different linux distros, and hopefully do some gaming .
I'm leaning towards buying 8GB of ram (2x4GB), but I may be able to also buy 16GB (2x8GB). Is it worth spending almost twice the money for the 16GB considering the other components?

8GB will be fine for general browsing etc and those specs, I would consider this the minimum amount for Windows 10.

Spend the money you'd spend on the extra RAM on an SSD instead. Or a new PSU.
