This computer had many problems in the very beginning, but for about two years, it worked without a hitch. For about two months, it went unused and untouched, so I cannot guarantee the exact day it stopped working, though I can't imagine much would have caused it without being touched. So here's the issue now: I came to the point where I needed to move the location of my desktop computer. After flipping the power supply switch to off and unplugging the power cable, I brought it to the new location. Once I plugged everything in and flipped the switch, I instantly heard a buzzing noise emitting from the power supply. Ignoring it, I pressed the power button in the front of the case, but nothing happened. No fan, no lights, nothing. I tried the paperclip trick, which indicated that it at least wasn't failing at that point. That was essentially all I did, so I'm up for any sort of further suggestions. Solution
take the pc apart, pull the gpu and reseat the ram and clear the cmos. see if the unit will post. look for anythng that may have fallen into the power supply like a screw. try a test power supply with no gpu.
