Selling a GTX 980 (reference)

With the release of the gtx 1070 being tomorrow I would like to sell my gtx 980. I have had it for about 4 months perfect condition, original packaging, and never overheated.

How much could I sell it for? I was hoping $300 if not what is a good reasonable price in which it would sell decently fast?

I have a question for anybody who sees this.

Should I go with the gtx 1070 priced at $379 or the AMD RX480 priced at $199? I not really worried about price but I just want more for the amount paid. So which one would you reccomend?

The RX 480 is expected to have equivalent performance to a gtx 980, its the new midrange card. So it wouldn't be an upgrade, just a sidestep. And on that note, I don't think you'll be able to sell a used 980 for $300, given that someone could get a new 480 for $200 in two and a half weeks.

So sell it within the next two weeks if you're going to, because you definitely wont be able to in three weeks.
