[SOLVED] Selling GPU with potential problems

I've recently upgraded from a GTX 970 to a RX 5600 and I am looking to sell my old graphics card to get a little bit of money to buy a digital piano, but I am concerned about a potential problem and I am not the type of person to try to rip someone off. I've owned the GTX 970 since 2016 and it works perfectly fine minus the fans on the GPU not spinning unless MSI Afterburner is used to manually turn them on. Are there any potential fixes to this problem? Thanks!

Are you sure it´s a defect?
The fans might just spin if the temperature is reaching about 60°C -> zero fan feature

Yes, when games are being played on it under full load, the fans do not spin and the temperature climbs until I turn the fans on

how hot does it get without manually turning on the fans?

uninstall afterburner and eventually other tools which could interfere with the fan control or try the card in a different system
