Sennheiser momentum in ear

its hard to give a solid recommendation without them being on the market long enough to get some professional reviews, testing and consumer reviews flowing to base information off of.

the momentum on-ears tend to be a bit overblown on the bass with a v-shaped sound profile. this makes them good for bassheads but perhaps not for people looking for something else in a headphone. if they are designed to be similar to the on-ears in sound profile then you may want to think about if this suits your listening style.

i would generally suggest on-ear or over-ear headphones for gaming instead of in-ear. they will be more comfortable in the long run and for just a bit more than the momentum iems will retail for you can start getting...

Head-fi.org is the place to go for these questions in my opinion. There are people that spend a lot of money on audio gear there.

I would wait for people to do some analysis on sound quality since they are using 18 Ohm drivers.

can you game with in ears? sure, if that is your preference. personally though it wouldnt be my first recommendation. in ears are better for travel, listening when doing activities and other such purposes.

Well what I don't like about over-hear / on ear is that my ears becomes really hot after few hours of gaming.. That happens with all headset/headphones... Also I don't like over-head because it splashes my hair so it gets messy.. haha I know it's funny to say that but I really don't like that

I was using " around head on ear" headphones and the one I had can't really compare to overhead ones... I was wondering would this in ear be good for gaming, yea I don't mind that they are in ear if they have nice sound.

Also do you know any good around head headphones for gaming (I usually play battlefield4 and cs:go (mostly) )

"closed" style headphones do get hot however "open" style headphones breath a bit so may not get as hot. worth reading up on a bit. open also have a wider soundstage for better gaming.

nothing i can do about the headpad messing up your hair though...

the trouble with around the head type headphones (often called sport headphones) are that they are designed for exercise use and generally are not designed for high quality sound. you may find some average quality ones on the market but nothing that will compete with either over the head or IEM's.

if you definitely dont want on ears or over ears because the headband messes up your hair...... then IEMS are what you want.
