Question Sennheiser RS 175 paired with soundbar

HI. Sorry for my English. I'm about to buy the Sennheiser RS 175. My video/audio set is as follows: "4K player connected to the soundbar via HDMI. Soundbar connected to the TV via HDMI eArc." I will connect the sennheisers to the TV via optical cable. This way, will I be able to play sound with both (soundbar and sennheiser) when playing blu ray/4k? Does the optical output of the Sennheisers activate when I turn them on? Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you​

I am not sure about that. All I can suggest is to try.

if they are set up right, I would think they should

Yes once you plug the optical cable into the headphone stand there's a switch on the back.
Optical<>3.5 mm.
And you may need to change the audio out settings on tv(maybe).

I know there is a switch on the Sennheiser dock station. But I asked another question
