Sequential read&write too high

Hi..i've just bought an ssd 840 pro 256gb and after installing windows and magician i run performance benchmark. For my surprise the sequential read&write are way higher than normal. How can that be true? Random read&write are fine. I followed this guide but it didnt perform well so i applied settings for maximum performance from magician software. Any ideas?

Is rapid mode turned on? That essential caches reads and writes in RAM.

Yes it is turned on. Also i set recommended over provisioning (10%)

With rapid turned on its reading/writing to the cached memory which is why you see higher then normal speeds.

So you mean that i have to turn off rapid mode and rerun benchmark and then turn it on again? What about intel rapid storage technology? Is it necessary or i do not need to install it?

If you want to know the actual sequential read/write speeds then yes you will need to turn off rapid, run the tests, then re-enable it.
Never used intel RST, i would assume that's more to do with raid setups.

I did it..got normal sequential speeds but now random write speed is about 50000. Is it because of rapid mode turned off? Over provisioning is better set or cleared?

The write speed might be a glitch if you turned off rapid and didn't restart the pc (i know it needed a restart to be enabled, not sure about disabling it).
Or are you talking about the IOPS?
I don't think over provisioning is really necessary unless you are heavily writing to the drive daily, but having it set for normal daily use isn't bad either.

Did restart. I was talking about random write speed being 49703 IOPS. Why has it dropped? Sequential speeds are normal as well as random read speed

I get around 45k IOPS for read and write on my 120gig 840 pro with or with out rapid enabled, i don't think it's to big of a problem.
Have you tried an IOPS test in AS SSD?
