Hello,

I have just bought a Serial ATA 160gb Maxtor drive, and when checking its
performance it seems that its cache(?) was half as good as expected. I have
checked in system properties and its set up to DMA etc.

What would cause this? and is there anything I can change to improve
performance?

Regards

What did you get? What did you expect? How did you measure it?
