Recently purchased the NVMe 960 evo to go in my z97 pro gamer motherboard as I want to have my windows install and a few games on it however it doesn't seem to boot at all before and after I install windows on it (the windows install is not corrupted as it works perfectly fine on my SSHD).
My first thought was that the SSD was most likely faulty but I am fully able to use it as an extra storage volume on windows, It just seems that I can't actually boot from it. I've tried MANY solutions varying from tweaking settings on the motherboard to using an M.2 adapter instead of installing it on the mobo, which doesn't fix anything, and installing firmware and drivers for it on windows.
I really can't figure out whether it's faulty, my mobo doesn't support it (even thought it says it does) or I'm just missing something obvious.
I'd really appreciate any support to help sort this strange scenario out for good
P.S I have also tried using the "Samsung Magician" software and a few other storage health apps but none of them actually seem to detect the SSD at all not matter what I try
Update
The confusion continues as I have installed far cry 5 on the SSD and it works perfectly...Still can't boot from it which was the main reason I bought it for in the first place
